Schema Training in clinical supervision in Cognitive behavioral psychotherapy Cognitive behavioral supervision, 45 higher education credits Advanced level Förkunskapskrav För tillträde till kursen krävs att den studerande har: -psykoterapeutlegitimation för Kognitiv Beteendeterapi -psykoterapeut efter psykoterapeutexamen. -eget handledningsuppdrag under studietiden Utbildningens omfattning Utbildningen omfattas av 45 högskolepoäng fördelat på tre terminer med sex studieveckor. Sammanlagt antal lektionstimmar är c:a 240 varav preliminärt c:a 40 lektionstimmar är på engelska. Förutom obligatorisk närvaro på alla kursmoment ställs krav på ett aktivt delta deltagande. Kursen omfattar fyra moment om sammanlagt 45 högskolepoäng (hp) Moment 1: Handledningens teorier, metoder och etiska frågeställningar 15 hp Moment 2: Handlett handledningsarbete 15 hp Moment 3: Muntlig och skriftlig didaktik, teori 7,5 hp Moment 4: Muntlig och skriftlig didaktik, praktik 7,5 hp Momenten löper parallellt under hela utbildningen. Helen Kennerley and Joy McGuire Supervision is regarded as crucial in developing and maintaining adequate standards of CBT and given the demands of professional registration, improved access to psychological therapies and clinical governance, there is an increased expectation that clinicians are offered sound supervision in CBT. Therefore, we are pleased to be able to offer a series of workshops which aim to help the CBT practitioner become a better supervisor. WORKSHOP 1: Datum: 24, 25 & 26 jan. 2012 AN INTRODUCTION TO SUPERVISION: BASIC PRINCIPLES AND CORE SKILLS Helen Kennerley This three day introductory workshop focuses on developing and refining the essential skills of CBT supervision. It aims to help you become a ‘good’ supervisor. Over the three days we will: • Explore what we mean by CBT supervision and look at it relevance • Present the empirical base for CBT supervision • Review CBT supervision competencies • Emphasise the core skills of supervision • Review key models of supervision • Explore how supervisors can optimise their performance through reflective practice. The workshop will also involve several ‘live’ supervision sessions during which workshop attendees will be able to gain feedback on their supervisory practice. By the end of Workshop 1 attendees will have developed their own critically appraised guidelines for good practice. A familiarity with CBT models and methods and some experience of CBT practice is assumed. Relevant reading: Kennerley & Clohessy (2010) Becoming a Supervisor In: Oxford Guide to Surviving as a CBT Therapist Ed Mueller et al (O.U.P) WORKSHOP 2: Datum: 10 & 11 september. 2012 IMPROVING SUPERVISION SKILLS: DEALING WITH COMPLEXITIES Joy McGuire This 2 day workshop focuses on identifying and understanding the complexities that can arise in the supervisory relationship. We will explore ways of understanding and working with these issues effectively and collaboratively. Over the 2 days we will: • Explore using Socratic methods in supervision • Consider the value of using formulations in supervision • Focus on process issues in supervision • Reflect on the complexities that arise in the supervisor/supervisee relationship • Consider particular issues related to varying modes of supervision – one to one, group, telephone, on line, video A variety of interactive methods will be used throughout, including role play, discussion and small group practical exercises. There will opportunity for participants to work with their own experiences, applying ideas developed in the workshop. There will also be an opportunity for participants to receive some supervision of their own supervision practice. WORKSHOP 3: Datum: 3 & 4 dec. 2012 IMPROVING SUPERVISION SKILLS: BRINGING IT TOGETHER, PROBLEM SOLVING & TAKING IT FORWARD Joy McGuire This 1 day workshop will have an agenda largely determined by the participants in the group. The aim of this workshop is to focus on the issues, problems and challenges that the participants bring related to what has arisen in supervision practice between workshops 1, 2 & 3 of this series. Over the day we will: • Identify key issues/challenges for the group • Problem solve these together – reflecting on teaching to date • If relevant to group needs we may practice using a supervisor evaluation scale, together, to rate a supervision session recording A variety of interactive methods will be used throughout, including role play, discussion and small group practical exercises. There will opportunity for participants to work with their own experiences, applying ideas developed in the workshop. There will also be an opportunity for participants to receive some supervision of their own supervision practice. James Bennett-Levy Datum: 14 mars 2012 Evidensbaserad kognitiv beteendeterapi inom väsentliga problemområden och grundläggande behandlingsmetoder. Dessutom har han varit engagerad i utvecklandet av handledningsmetoder inom inriktningen kognitiv beteendeterapi. Grupprocesser Datum: 8 maj 2012 Stefan Söderfjell kommer under detta föredrag att sammanfatta forskningsläget kring team/grupper utifrån ett antal teoretiska modeller, bland annat Richard Hackmans och Susan Wheelans (som nått en bred spridning i Sverige de senaste åren). Där den sistnämnda fokuserar på gruppens inre liv och beskriver gruppens utveckling i olika faser så tar Hackman en annan approach i sina rekommendationer kring hur man på bästa sätt kan hjälpa en grupp att bli väl fungerande. Han menar att det mer handlar om att skapa gynnsamma förutsättningar för gruppens utveckling och att man bör intervenera i relation till vart gruppen står i förhållande till sin uppgift snarare än till de interna processerna. Speciellt fokus läggs på den externa handledarens (psykologens, coachens etc.) roll i att arbeta med grupper utifrån dessa olika utgångspunkter. Utbildningsbeskrivning i pdf.
